چکیده

Ultra-High Performance Concrete (UHPC) is a cementitious composite with fine aggregates and homogeneous matrix high compressive strength excellent durability against aggressive agents. It common to use short steel fibers in the UHPC. Besides, using considerably increases flexural ductility, energy absorption. Using glass UHPC novel technique which improves its mechanical properties it has benefit of being lighter, cheaper than fibers. Furthermore, can be used for thin concrete plates aesthetic purposes. However, reinforced incompatible hydration reaction alkaline environment as damage fibers, so are decreased over long periods. The containing (GF-UHPC) was investigated under three regimes normal curing, autoclave curing plus hot water 50 days (accelerated aging). substitution silica fume by Metakaolin GF-UHPC studied understand after thermal curing. results showed that accelerated aging, behavior specimens become more brittle modulus rupture toughness indices all prismatic decreased, samples 40% lower results. aging increased at least 4% comparison Replacement slightly regard strength.

Mechanical Behavior of Hybrid Fiber Reinforced High Strength Concrete with Graded Fibers

Brittleness, which was the inherent weakness in High Strength Concrete (HSC), can be avoided by reinforcing the concrete with discontinuous fibers. Reinforcing HSC with more than one fiber is advantageous in an overall improvement of the mechanical performance of the composite. In this experimental study, Hybrid Fiber Reinforced High Strength Concrete (HyFR-HSC) mixes were formed by blending si...

Feasibility of Reducing the Fiber Content in Ultra-High-Performance Fiber-Reinforced Concrete under Flexure

In this study, the flexural behavior of ultra-high-performance fiber-reinforced concrete (UHPFRC) is examined as a function of fiber length and volume fraction. Straight steel fiber with three different lengths (lf) of 13, 19.5, and 30 mm and four different volume fractions (vf) of 0.5%, 1.0%, 1.5%, and 2.0% are considered. Test results show that post-cracking flexural properties of UHPFRC, suc...

Electrical and Self-Sensing Properties of Ultra-High-Performance Fiber-Reinforced Concrete with Carbon Nanotubes

This study examined the electrical and self-sensing capacities of ultra-high-performance fiber-reinforced concrete (UHPFRC) with and without carbon nanotubes (CNTs). For this, the effects of steel fiber content, orientation, and pore water content on the electrical and piezoresistive properties of UHPFRC without CNTs were first evaluated. Then, the effect of CNT content on the self-sensing capa...

Glass Fiber Reinforced Polypropylene Mechanical Properties Enhancement by Adhesion Improvement

Glass fibers (GF) are the reinforcement agent most used in polypropylene (PP) based composites, as they have good balance between properties and costs. However, their final properties are mainly determined by the strength and stability of the polymer-fiber interphase. Fibers do not act as an effective reinforcing material when the adhesion is weak. Also, the adhesion between phases can be easil...
